Circuits and Systems for Cognitive Radio Front-Ends
Digitization of TV bands have resulted in under-utlized whitespaces in 470-790 MHz which can be a solution to ever increasing spectrum demand. This area of research at IAS focusses on the system and circuit design of Cognitive Radios which can provide a frequency agile wideband radio for above mentioned UHF frequencies.

This BMBF funded project focusses on the complete cognitive radio system for the LTE devices. At IAS, the RF front end design for such a design is being researched. As the first stage of this project, a high linear front end is built using commercially available components and the second stage aims an integrated solution.
